GAIN sponsored Dog Show which will be held on Sunday 28th July at 2pm. This year GAIN Pet Nutrition have partnered with My Canine Companion.
My Canine Companion trains dogs to assist children and young adults living with Autism. They are committed to helping children with autism and their families gain independence, companionship and safety through the provision of highly trained and skilled Service Dogs. As a small organisation, My Canine Companion provides an outstanding, customised and individualised service, which meets the needs of each individual client.
Their Service Dogs are fully trained to the standard of Assistance Dogs Europe, (ADEu). Each Service Dog costs the charity just over €10,000 to train. The period of training covers the two years from birth right through to graduation as a Service Dog. These Service Dogs make dramatic differences’ in the quality of life for children and adults with Autism and their families. Service Dogs make dramatic differences’ in the quality of life for children with Autism and their families. Not only do our dogs assist them physically, but these special dogs also become the child’s best and in some cases, only, friend.
The GAIN Dog Show takes place in Camphire on Sunday, 28th July, at 2pm. The variety of classes should once again prove a huge hit for all the family showcasing all breeds, shapes and sizes. All prizes are sponsored by GAIN Pet Nutrition and all money raised from the show goes directly to this very worthy cause. My Canine Companion will attend on the day and participate in the judging.

We hope you enjoy the Horse Trials and for your own safety and that of the competitors we ask you to observe the following at all times:
– Give way to horses at all times
– Stand clear of all cross country fences and the approaches to them. Observe the Fence Judge at each fence and listen for the judge’s whistle as each horse approaches.
-Dogs are welcome at Camphire as long as they are well behaved, kept on a lead at all times and Owners please clean up any mess.
– Children must be accompanied by an adult.
– Do not use flash photography
– Please do not leave litter behind you. This is a working farm and we do not wish to cause harm to livestock or wildlife.
– Bridle numbers to be worn on horses at all times during the international.
Gates will open at 8.30am each day. Admission tickets can be purchased online (opening May 2019) or on the gate. You will directed to the available car parking by Stewards.
Entrance price is €15 per person – under 16’s go free!
Designated Disabled Car Park spaces are available. An official disability car parking badge must be displayed. Directions from Waterford – located off the N72. Before Dungarvan turn right off N72 to bypass Dungarvan and follow route to Cappoquin. Exiting Cappoquin turn left at the town bridge.
Directions from N25 near Youghal -before Youghal bridge take a left off the N25.
Directions travelling south on the M8 – Take exit 14 and go into Fermoy town. Cross over the bridge in the town and turn left for Waterford (N72). Follow the N72 to Tallow. Camphire is signposted with Horse Trials signs from Tallow.
